When will this episode be uploaded?

Oh boy, can’t wait! I know you have a lot going on in your life besides uploading LMOTP, so I’ll be patient, even as I press reload on youtube every hour. 🙂

How can the CBC show a Christian symbol be destroyed like this!

Perhaps Christian terrorists should attack the CBC.

Oh, that’s right. There are no Christian terrorists.

This reminds me of 2012 where they show the Vatican being destroyed but not Mecca.

Listen to this show. It kind of talks about this subject. It’s not the first subject this talks about but it is the second subject he talks about.

It’s the second topic about the movie. Not the first one.

‘2012’ maker destroys Vatican, Jesus, but leaves shrine in Mecca alone.

The maker of the upcoming apocalyptic film “2012” has conceded he enjoyed orchestrating the visual disintegration of the world’s religious symbols, such as the Vatican and the famous statue of Jesus overlooking Rio de Janeiro.

But he left an Islamic symbol alone because he feared the reaction from the Muslim world.

In an interview with the online SciFiWire website, Roland Emmerich said he had considered including the destruction of the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure in Mecca worshiped by Muslims as being built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.

“Well, I wanted to do that, I have to admit,” Emmerich said. “But my co-writer Harald [Kloser] said I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie. And he was right. … We have to all … in the Western world … think about this.”

I agree, I found the actual destruction of the statue visually disturbing and offensive.

You wouldn’t see the CBC act so disrespectfully towards Islam.

To think that the production people actually found a Christian symbol with the purpose of destroying that symbol is as sacrilegious as one can get.

They know they can get away with it with Christians. They would have been physically afraid to treat Islam in a similar way.

  10. tim

I wish that Muslims would get offended when they see Jesus disrespected in such a way.

Sure I realize he’s not a god to Muslims but he is supposed to be a respected prophet.

And obviously Christians don’t have the balls to stand up to such stuff.

  11. Zainab

I am Muslim, and I was deeply offended by the lack of respect given in this episode. It was not funny, it was tasteless. I’m sorry, this took it too far.

    • Tim

      Thank you.

Please understand that I am not against the Islamic religion just a small fraction of those who practice it.

I have must respect for your religion and for people like you who can fairly see things from the other point of view.

  12. Nahida

This reminds me of 2012 where they show the Vatican being destroyed but not Mecca.

It’s not our fault Christians don’t have balls.

    Go complain then. Geez.

    • Tim

It’s not our fault Christians don’t have balls.

No it isn’t. Most of the stuff going on in Western society isn’t the fault of Islam but indeed comes from within.

In fact I don’t know why Islamic Terrorists even bother to attack us. They should just patiently wait as we are doing a pretty good job ourselves in destroying our society.

9-11 and the Fort Hood attacks were as much if not more about our weakness than it was about the determination of Islamic extremists to destroy our society. I would say that 9-11 was a stupid plan that should have failed but because of Political Correctness it succeeded. Similarly Nidal Malik Hasan should have been booted from the army but Political Correctness prevented that as well.

Remember that the new Homeland Security boss sees returning war veterans as a much bigger threat than Islamic terrorists.

But people are waking up to the threat of Political Correctness in our society. Perhaps this could be the start of an effort to remove Political Correctness from our society.

I wish that Muslims would get offended when they see Jesus disrespected in such a way.

The fact that a statue of Jesus even exists would theoretically be offensive to Muslims.

We don’t depict our prophets in pictures or statues…

  14. Episode 7 has been uploaded 🙂

What’s wrong with you people? This was a hilarious episode! If i had just read your comments and never saw the episode I would just think this was the worst ever, yet, it is one of the best episodes of the season! A great way of tackling with issues of racism in a funny way, i think. Nothing sacrilegous in the breaking of the statue, BECAUSE Yasir DIDNT mean to do it, and resented it badly. So get over it!

  16. Memang Erteng

and i should add connecting this with 2012 the film is basically Muslim bashing, nothing else. Shame.

  17. Steve

BECAUSE Yasir DIDNT mean to do it, and resented it badly.

But in real life the people who made the show MEANT to break the statue. The script called for it. The prop department went out to get a Jesus statue with the purpose of planning to destroy it.

connecting this with 2012 the film

It was connected in the sense that in that movie the director went out of the way to destroy Christian symbols BUT was afraid to go after Mecca. He is a true Islamophobe.

    • Bronwen

You don’t know that. We saw a statue and then we saw a bunch of shards of porcelain. We didn’t see the moment when the statue broke.

And even we had… IT’S JUST A STATUE. It hasn’t been blessed by a priest or whatever to turn it into an icon. It’s something that came off AN ASSEMBLY LINE. It DOESN’T MATTER.

Quit yakking shit about 2012. It’s probably not even true, and if it is, it’s one director’s problem and has absolutely NO bearing on this discussion or anything else.
